Deal Alert: Fly Mumbai to Europe for Just 22,500 Miles! (Jan 2026 Promo)
Happy New Year, Dealuni family! ๐ฅ
If one of your resolutions for 2026 was to travel more for less, the universe (and Air France) is listening. Itโs been a quiet few weeks here on the blog, but Iโm breaking the silence with arguably the best redemption deal of Q1 2026.
Flying Blue (the loyalty program for Air France & KLM) has just dropped its January Promo Rewards, and for the first time in months, India is on the list with a massive 25% discount.
Here is everything you need to know to book this before it vanishes.
โ๏ธ The Deal: Mumbai/Delhi to Europe
Normally, a one-way Economy ticket from India to Paris or Amsterdam costs 30,000 miles. With this monthโs promo, that price has crashed to 22,500 miles.
- Airline: Air France or KLM
- Route: Mumbai (BOM) โ Paris (CDG) / Amsterdam (AMS)
- Class: Economy
- Cost: 22,500 Flying Blue Miles + approx โน6,000โโน8,000 taxes
- Booking Deadline: January 31, 2026
- Travel Period: Now until June 30, 2026
Note: This is excellent value. Cash fares for these direct flights are currently hovering around โน45,000โโน60,000 one-way for spring travel. You are getting a value of roughly โน1.50 – โน2.00 per mile, which is fantastic for Economy redemptions.

๐ณ How to Get the Miles (The “Indian” Strategy)
The best part about Flying Blue is that it is a transfer partner for almost everyone. You don’t need to fly Air France to earn these miles; you just need the right Indian credit card.
You can transfer points 1:1 (or better) from:
- Axis Bank: Axis Atlas(1:2), Magnus (Burgundy)(5:4), and Reserve(5:4). (Note: Atlas is still my favorite for this transfer).
- HDFC Bank: Infinia and Diners Black (via SmartBuy or direct transfer at 1:1).
๐ก Pro Tip: If you have Axis Edge Miles (from Axis Atlas), the transfer is usually instant or takes <4 hours. HDFC can take 2-4 days, so plan accordingly!

๐ Bonus Update: Visa-Free Travel Extended!
Since you are planning your 2026 calendar, here is some more good news we confirmed this morning. If Europe isn’t on your list, Southeast Asia just got easier:
- Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ: Officially extended visa-free entry for Indians until December 31, 2026. No visa fees, just fill out the MDAC card 3 days before you fly.
- Thailand ๐น๐ญ: Continues to be visa-free (60-day stay).
- Vietnam ๐ป๐ณ: Still requires an E-Visa for most entry points (unless you are doing the Phu Quoc island hack), but approvals are faster now.
๐ The Verdict
If you have a stash of Axis or HDFC points sitting idle, transferring 45,000 points for a return trip to Europe is a “no-brainer.”
I am personally eyeing a May trip to Paris using this deal (perfect weather!). Let me know in the commentsโare you booking this, or are you saving your points for Business Class?
Happy Booking!
