Flying Blue Promo Rewards: 25% fewer miles to Europe, featuring Bengaluru to Amsterdam premium economy for 37,500 miles

Flying Blue Promo Rewards: India Guide

Updated as of 8 Oct 2026. This is our standing guide to Flying Blue Promo Rewards. The current month’s routes are in our monthly award sales tracker. Rules are from Flying Blue’s Promo Rewards page.

On the first day of every month, Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue publishes Promo Rewards: 25% off award flights on a list of routes, bookable all month for travel up to six months out. India makes the list only a few times a year, but when it does, it’s one of the cheapest ways to Europe in business on points.

We checked: Bengaluru–Amsterdam, October 2026 round

We searched the seats on seats.aero on 8 Oct. The promo price is real, but only on some dates. On other dates, the same KLM premium economy seat costs 82,500 miles, more than double.

seats.aero result for KLM KL880 Bangalore to Amsterdam on 3 November 2026 in premium economy for 37,500 Flying Blue miles plus 155.66 US dollars
KL880, Bengaluru 2:25 am to Amsterdam 8:25 am on 3 Nov 2026: 37,500 miles + US$155.66, 9 seats (seats.aero, 8 Oct 2026).

The surprise: premium economy at 37,500 is only 7,500 miles more than economy (30,000), with low taxes of about ₹15,000. For a 10.5-hour overnight flight, it’s the best-value seat in this sale for Bengaluru. Remember it’s a “Light” fare: no checked bag and no changes or refunds unless you’re Platinum.

The catch: taxes from India

Flying Blue passes on Air France-KLM’s carrier surcharges. From India, business awards can carry ₹30,000–40,000 in taxes and fees one-way, against a few thousand on Aeroplan or Qatar. Premium economy is much lighter (about ₹15,000 on KL880). Before you transfer, add the taxes to the miles at our valuation (₹0.80–1.20 a mile) and compare with the cash fare. Taxes on the return, Europe to India, can be lower, so price both directions.

How to use it from India

  • When India is on the list: book to Paris or Amsterdam. Connecting flights within Europe on Air France or KLM are included at the same price.
  • When it isn’t: look at promo routes from hubs you already visit. October 2026 has Singapore–Europe in economy for 22,500 miles.
  • Price both directions: taxes on Europe–India can be lower than on India–Europe.
  • Light fares can’t be refunded. Only book dates you’re sure of.

How to book

  1. On the 1st, check the Promo Rewards page or our tracker.
  2. Search the route on flyingblue.com with “Book with Miles”. Promo prices show with a promo label in the calendar.
  3. Check the taxes, then transfer points and book.

DealUni take

Flying Blue Promo Rewards gives the longest window to plan, up to six months, but India appears only now and then, and business taxes from India hurt. This month’s Bengaluru premium economy deal is the exception worth grabbing: 37,500 miles and about ₹15,000 for a nonstop to Amsterdam. In other months, compare Qatar’s and KrisFlyer’s sales in our monthly award sales tracker.
