IHG Ambassador: 10,000 Bonus Points on 2 Nights by 31 Dec

Updated as of 21 Oct 2026. Join by 31 Dec 2026 and complete 2 paid nights by 31 Dec 2026. US$1 = ₹94.97 (20 Oct 2026). IHG points valued at ₹0.53 (DealUni Program Values sheet, last verified 26 Sep 2026).

IHG is sweetening its paid InterContinental Ambassador membership: join between 18 Oct and 31 Dec 2026, stay two paid nights by 31 Dec, and get 10,000 bonus IHG One Rewards points. Some members may be targeted, so check your IHG account or email before you count on it.

The offer

Ambassador price	US$225 (about ₹21,400) or 45,000 IHG points
Join between	18 Oct and 31 Dec 2026
Then stay	2 qualifying nights at any IHG hotel, on nights up to 31 Dec 2026
Qualifying	Paid nights at qualifying rates, over US$30 a night. The Ambassador free weekend night also counts. Award and Points & Cash nights don’t
Bonus	10,000 IHG points (about ₹5,250), once per member
Not eligible	Royal Ambassadors, complimentary or employee-discount memberships

What Ambassador gets you

• IHG Platinum Elite status at every IHG brand
• A guaranteed one-category room upgrade, 4 pm late checkout and up to US$20 food and drink credit per stay at InterContinental hotels
• A complimentary weekend night: pay for one weekend night at an InterContinental, get the second free

Is it worth ₹21,400 from India?

The bonus brings the effective cost down to about ₹16,100. Pay cash, not points: 45,000 points are worth about ₹23,600 to us, more than the cash price.

The fee pays for itself with one well-used weekend night. Two Saturday nights at an InterContinental in Dubai, Bangkok or Mumbai at ₹20,000+ a night, with the second free, already beats ₹16,100. Add the upgrade and 4 pm checkout and it’s comfortably ahead, but only if you’ll actually book an InterContinental weekend in the next 12 months.

You are…	What to do
Planning an InterContinental weekend in the next year	✅ Buy now, use the free weekend night, and stay 2 nights by 31 Dec for the 10k
Already buying Ambassador anyway	✅ Buy before 31 Dec and get the 10k on top
No InterContinental stay planned	❌ Skip. 10,000 points don’t justify ₹21,400
Holding 45,000 IHG points	⚠️ Pay cash; use the points for a free night instead

Check what your IHG points are worth in our Rewards Toolkit.

DealUni take: worth it only if you’d buy Ambassador anyway. The 10,000 points take the edge off the fee; they don’t make it a deal by themselves. Weekend plan pakka ho, tabhi Ambassador lo. (Buy Ambassador only if the weekend plan is certain.)
