A business class return to Vietnam for 60,000 miles plus about ₹10,000 is one of the cheapest premium-cabin redemptions from India this year.

How to get Lotusmiles from Indian cards

You are…RatioBusiness return (60,000 miles) costsWhat to do
HDFC Infinia / Diners Black1:1 via SmartBuy60,000 Reward PointsBest option. Find the seat, then transfer.
HDFC Regalia Gold2:11,20,000 Reward PointsEconomy makes more sense.
Axis Atlas2:11,20,000 EDGE MilesOK if Atlas is your only card.
Axis Magnus for Burgundy5:21,50,000 EDGE pointsExpensive. Keep EDGE for Avios or KrisFlyer.

Golden rule: transfers are one-way and can take a few days. Find the award seat first, then transfer the exact miles you need. Don’t move points “just in case”.

DealUni take

If Vietnam is on your list for Oct–Dec and you hold HDFC Infinia or Diners Black, this is a book-now deal, especially in business. Aim for late October, mid-to-late November or early December, and avoid Diwali week and Christmas. If you can’t travel by 31 December, skip it: the next LotusDay usually comes round within a few months.

Aadhe miles mein Vietnam, business class mein. Bas 31 December se pehle udna hai. (Vietnam in business class for half the miles. Just fly before 31 December.)
