IHG 100% Points Sale, Double Nights and Diamond Fast Track

IHG has three things going on at once: its biggest points sale, a double elite nights offer, and a fast track to Diamond, its top tier. Two of the three are targeted, so whether they’re worth it depends on what’s in your account. Here’s how to check, and the rupee maths.
TL;DR
- 💸 Buy points with 100% bonus until ~6 Oct: about ₹0.49 a point after forex. Only worth it for a specific luxury stay where points beat cash.
- 🌙 Double elite night credits (targeted), 30 Sep–31 Dec 2026, up to 10 bonus nights, paid stays only.
- 💎 Diamond fast track (targeted): 10 paid nights by 31 Dec 2026. Normally Diamond needs 70 nights.
- 🎁 For everyone: 2X points from your 2nd stay (3X if booked in the IHG app), 1 Oct–31 Dec. Register first. These bonus points don’t count towards status.
- 🔎 Check your offers: log in to the IHG app → Offers, and search your email for IHG promo emails.
1. Buy IHG points with a 100% bonus

When it’s worth it: IHG has no award chart, so value varies a lot. A business hotel in the Gulf might give you ₹0.40–0.60 a point, but a Six Senses or InterContinental resort can give ₹0.70–1.00. Buy only to top up a specific booking at that end of the range. Pay with Axis Magnus for Burgundy in a month you’ve already crossed ₹1.5 lakh (35 EDGE points per ₹200), which takes the net cost to about ₹0.42 a point.
Not for Indians: IHG’s “4th night free” on award stays is a perk of the US IHG credit cards only. Indian members pay for every award night.
2. Double elite night credits (targeted)
- Dates: 30 Sep–31 Dec 2026.
- What you get: each qualifying night counts twice towards status, up to 10 bonus nights.
- Qualifying stays: paid stays booked direct. Award and Points + Cash stays usually don’t count.
- Who gets it: targeted. Look in the IHG app under Offers, or for an IHG email. If you see it, register before you stay.
3. Diamond fast track (targeted)
Some members have been offered Diamond Elite for 10 paid nights between 30 Sep and 31 Dec 2026, instead of the usual 70 nights. It’s mostly going to members with plenty of IHG nights already, and it’s invite-only. If it’s in your account, it’s one of the best deals IHG ever offers.
