Air India Mumbai–Toronto: Business From 1.3 Lakh Points
Updated as of 28 Oct 2026. Route details from Air India’s 1 Aug 2026 announcement. Maharaja Club prices from our own searches on Air India’s app for 11 Nov 2026 and 13 Jan 2027. Partner award space from seats.aero on 8 dates between 11 Nov 2026 and 5 Mar 2027, and cash fares from Google Flights, all checked 28 Oct 2026. US$1 = ₹94.43; Maharaja points and United miles valued at ₹1.10, Aeroplan at ₹1.30.
Air India’s new Mumbai–Toronto flight started on 25 October on a 777-300ER with First class. And unlike most new routes, you can book Business on points right now, through Air India’s own Maharaja Club. Here’s the schedule, what it costs, and the catch on early dates.
The flight
| Flight | Departs | Arrives | Days |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI193 Mumbai–Toronto | 4:00am | 10:00am, same day | Wed, Fri, Sun |
| AI192 Toronto–Mumbai | 12:30pm | 2:10pm, next day | 3 a week |
The catch on early dates: on the November and December dates we checked, AI193 leaves Mumbai at 12:25am and makes one stop on the way, taking 20 hours 5 minutes. It’s the same plane and flight number, but it isn’t nonstop. From January, it shows as the 4:00am nonstop (16 hours 30 minutes) that Air India announced. Check the flight details before you book. The good news: Maharaja Club charges the same points on the January nonstop.
- Plane: an upgraded 777-300ER with 8 First suites with sliding doors, 40 flat-bed Business seats and 280 Economy seats. Wi-Fi on board. No premium economy.
- Delhi too: Delhi–Toronto runs 10 times a week this winter, 7 of them on a brand-new 787-9. Air India says every Toronto flight will have new or upgraded cabins by January 2027.
What it costs in cash
| Mumbai–Toronto nonstop, one way | Cash |
|---|---|
| Economy | US$1,867 (₹1,76,300) |
| Business | US$3,366 (₹3,17,900) |
| First | US$12,966 (₹12,24,400) |
On points: Maharaja Club has Business seats
| Cabin | Programme | Points one way | Worth about | Seen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Economy | Air India Maharaja Club | 50,000 + ₹4,741 | ₹55,000 | 13 Jan nonstop (2 seats left), 11 Nov |
| Economy | United MileagePlus | 49,500 | ₹54,500 | 5 Feb |
| Economy | Aeroplan | 60,000 | ₹78,000 | 11 Nov, 2 Dec, 5 Feb |
| Business | Air India Maharaja Club | 1,30,000 | ₹1,43,000 | 13 Jan nonstop (1 seat left), 11 Nov (5 seats left) |
| Business | Aeroplan, United | – | – | Not open to partners on any date we checked |
| First | Aeroplan | 1,50,000 | ₹1,95,000 | 5 Mar |
| First | United MileagePlus | 2,20,000 | ₹2,42,000 | 5 Mar |
| First | Air India Maharaja Club | 2,70,000 | ₹2,97,000 | 11 Nov, 1 seat left |

Business: Maharaja Club is the only way we found to book it on points, at 1,30,000 against ₹3.18 lakh in cash. Partners like Aeroplan and United don’t see these seats yet. First: Aeroplan at 1,50,000 is far cheaper than Maharaja Club’s 2,70,000 when it shows, against ₹12.2 lakh in cash.
Getting the points: Axis Burgundy Private and Magnus for Burgundy (5:4), Atlas (1:2) and Olympus (1:4) transfer to Maharaja Club, Aeroplan and United. HDFC Infinia and Diners Black move 2:1 to all three. HSBC TravelOne and Premier, ICICI Emeralde Private and SBI Card MILES move 1:1 to Maharaja Club.
