Quick Hits: ANA to Hiroshima From ₹60K, Free Club Avolta Status
Updated as of 16 Oct 2026. Two small wins and one sale to skip this week, all checked on the official pages.
ANA: Hiroshima for the price of Tokyo, book by 29 October
ANA’s new Hiroshima promo sells economy return tickets from India to Hiroshima via Tokyo, with taxes and fuel surcharges included:
| From | Flights | Economy return from |
|---|---|---|
| Delhi | NH837/838 | ₹66,700 |
| Mumbai | NH829/830 | ₹60,200 |
That’s barely more than the ₹65,500 and ₹59,000 ANA charged just to Tokyo in its Hello Blue Sale. The best part: one stopover in Tokyo each way is free (a second costs ₹6,800). So you can spend a few days in Tokyo, then fly on to Hiroshima for Miyajima’s floating torii and the Peace Memorial, all on one ticket. Two checked bags of 23 kg are included.
- Catches: the fare is non-refundable, changes cost ₹7,000, and you must stay 3–21 days. Some connections need a night in Tokyo or a switch between Narita and Haneda at your own cost, so check the itinerary before paying.
- Credit the miles to a Star Alliance programme you use, such as Aeroplan or Maharaja Club, and check what this K fare earns first.
Going to western Japan anyway? Air India’s new Delhi–Osaka nonstop starts in February; see our Air India Osaka post to compare.
GHA DISCOVERY: free Club Avolta Gold or Platinum
GHA DISCOVERY, the free programme behind Anantara, Kempinski, Leela and others, has a new partner: Club Avolta, the loyalty club of Avolta, which runs duty-free shops, restaurants and stores in more than 5,100 airport, train and ferry outlets in 73 countries, including World Duty Free, Dufry and Hudson. GHA members get a free tier upgrade:
| Your GHA DISCOVERY tier | Club Avolta tier | What it gets you |
|---|---|---|
| Silver (free when you join) | Gold | Up to 7% off airport shopping, 5% off airport dining, discounted lounge access |
| Gold, Platinum or Titanium | Platinum | 10% off eligible shopping, plus the same dining and lounge perks |
How to get it: GHA emailed members a promo code on 14 October. Open that link to create or upgrade your Club Avolta account, or enter the code in the Club Avolta app. Didn’t get the email, or joined GHA after that date? Ask GHA DISCOVERY customer care for the code. Then show the QR code in the Club Avolta app when you pay.
Is it worth it? It’s free and takes five minutes, so yes. But the value depends on where you fly through: Avolta’s shops are mostly abroad, in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas, so check the app for your airports. On ₹20,000 of perfume or chocolate at a European airport, 10% saves ₹2,000. If you’re only GHA Silver, you can still take Gold now; you’ll get Platinum once you reach GHA Gold. See how GHA status works in our GHA DISCOVERY Anantara post.
Turkish Miles&Smiles: 30% off Asia awards, but not from India
Turkish Airlines is taking 30% off the miles on economy promotional award tickets between Türkiye and 12 cities: Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Seoul, Sydney, Singapore, Shanghai, Taipei and Ulaanbaatar. Book 16–30 Oct; fly 1–30 Nov 2026, on Turkish’s own flights only.
Skip it from India. No Indian city is on the list, it’s economy only, and travel is limited to November. It helps only if you’re already in Istanbul and heading to East Asia or Australia this month. Turkish’s better deal for Indians is still Europe; see our Miles&Smiles Europe post for how its sales work.
