Emirates Pays 7,200 Miles to Stop in Dubai: Register by 5 Nov
Updated as of 22 Oct 2026. Register and book by 5 Nov 2026, travel by 13 Dec 2026. Terms from Emirates’ offer page, checked 22 Oct 2026. Skywards miles valued at ₹0.80 (DealUni Program Values sheet, last verified 26 Sep 2026).
Emirates will pay you to hang around in Dubai: 1 Skywards mile for every minute you spend there, up to 7,200 miles. That’s five full days. If you’re already flying Emirates or flydubai through Dubai this winter, it’s free miles for a stopover you might take anyway.
| Earn | 1 mile per minute in Dubai, based on your ticket’s scheduled arrival and departure times |
| Maximum | 7,200 miles (5 days), once per member |
| Register by | 5 Nov 2026, 11:59 pm Dubai time, on emirates.com, the Emirates app or flydubai.com |
| Book and ticket | 21 Oct to 5 Nov 2026 |
| Travel | 21 Oct to 13 Dec 2026 |
| Stay in Dubai | At least 24 hours; the whole journey 30 days or less |
| Miles credited | Within 30 days after your stay |
What counts
- Return tickets only, starting outside the UAE, so Chennai–Dubai–Chennai or Mumbai–Dubai (stopover)–London both work. One-ways don’t.
- Emirates or flydubai flights (ticket numbers 176, 141 or 169), any cabin, on fares that earn Skywards miles: Special, Saver, Flex and Flex Plus on Emirates; Lite, Value, Flex and Business on flydubai.
- Booked direct, on the apps or through a travel agent. Award tickets don’t earn miles, so they don’t count.
- Not for UAE residents, or tickets issued in the UAE.
What it’s worth
| Time in Dubai | Bonus miles | Worth |
|---|---|---|
| 24 hours (minimum) | 1,440 | ₹1,150 |
| 2 days | 2,880 | ₹2,300 |
| 5 days or more | 7,200 (cap) | ₹5,760 |
Not life-changing, but it’s free. A family of four where everyone is a Skywards member could earn up to 28,800 miles between them on one Dubai holiday, and Emirates lets families pool miles in a Family account.
| You are… | What to do |
|---|---|
| Planning a Dubai trip on Emirates or flydubai before 13 Dec | ✅ Register first, then book by 5 Nov |
| Flying Emirates to Europe or the US | ✅ Add a 1–5 day Dubai stopover if the fare doesn’t jump |
| Already booked | ⚠️ Only tickets issued from 21 Oct count |
| Booking an award ticket or a one-way | ❌ Doesn’t qualify |
DealUni take: if Dubai is on your winter plans, register before you book. It costs nothing. Don’t add a stopover just for the miles: a night in a Dubai hotel costs more than ₹5,760. Dubai ruko, miles kamao. (Stop in Dubai, earn miles.)
