Diners at a restaurant while a guest taps a World Elite card on a payment terminal: ₹6,300 off bills of ₹22,000

Mastercard Dining: ₹6,300 Off at 26 Top Restaurants in India

Mastercard has quietly switched on a dining programme in India. If you hold a World Elite Mastercard, you can get ₹6,300 off a bill of ₹22,000 or more at 26 premium restaurants in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, once every calendar quarter. That’s about 29% off a big dinner. Any World-tier Mastercard also gets 10% off at seven of them, with no minimum spend. You book on Mastercard’s site, at least 24 hours ahead, and pay with the same card.

The minimum spend counts the final bill including taxes and service charge, and the ₹6,300 comes off that final bill. The 10% offer works the other way: it’s on the food and drink subtotal, before taxes.

What it’s worth

The booking site lists average prices of about ₹3,000–5,000 a head at most of these restaurants, so ₹22,000 is a dinner for four to six, or a tasting menu with wine for two.

₹30,000₹6,300 off₹23,70021%
₹45,000₹6,300 off₹38,70014%
Bills include taxes and service charge. You still earn your card’s normal reward points on what you pay.

The sweet spot is a bill just over ₹22,000. Four times a year, that’s up to ₹25,200 off for one card. Mastercard calls it “up to US$100” off, but India’s fixed ₹6,300 is worth only about US$65. Abroad the amounts are closer to US$100: in Singapore it’s S$120 off S$400, in Tokyo ¥15,000 off ¥52,500, in Bangkok ฿2,400 off ฿8,000. Since the limit is once a quarter wherever you use it, save the quarter’s credit for a trip if you have one coming. Singapore has 50 participating restaurants, Bangkok 39, Hong Kong 29 and Tokyo 18.

Is your card World Elite?

Mastercard doesn’t publish a list of Indian cards by tier. Most super-premium Mastercard credit cards in India are World Elite, and many say “World Elite” on the card. But banks issue some of the same cards on Visa or Diners, and only the Mastercard version counts. The quickest test is the booking site itself: it asks for your 16-digit card number and shows only the offers your card qualifies for. We couldn’t find a World Legend card issued in India yet, so for now ₹6,300 is the top Indian offer.

The rules that trip people up

  • Book on the Mastercard site, at least 24 hours ahead. Walk-ins and bookings made directly with the restaurant don’t get the offer.
  • Pick the right offer when you book. It can’t be changed at the restaurant. To switch, cancel and rebook.
  • Pay with the same card, by inserting or tapping it, or with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Wallet on the restaurant’s machine. UPI, QR codes, online payments and other wallets don’t count.
  • No date changes. Cancel and rebook instead. Cancel on the site so your quarterly credit comes back straight away.
  • Blackout dates apply. Restaurants can exclude public holidays, festive periods and special events, so New Year’s Eve is a gamble.
  • No stacking with other Mastercard dining offers. Whether it works with the restaurant’s own deals, such as hotel dining memberships, is up to the restaurant; ask before you order.

How to book

  1. Open the Mastercard Collection dining site and choose Mumbai, New Delhi or Bengaluru.
  2. Pick a restaurant and the offer: “INR 6,300 off INR 22,000 min spend” for World Elite.
  3. Choose a date and time at least 24 hours away, enter your card number and confirm. Keep the confirmation email or SMS.
  4. At the restaurant, show the confirmation and pay the whole bill with that card.
You are…Verdict
A World Elite Mastercard holder planning a family or group dinner in Mumbai, Delhi or Bengaluru✅ Use it every quarter. ₹6,300 off a ₹22,000 bill is hard to beat
A couple who normally spends ₹8,000–12,000❌ You won’t reach ₹22,000. Use the 10% offer at the seven restaurants that have it
Travelling to Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo or Hong Kong this quarter⚠️ Save the quarter’s credit for the trip; it’s worth closer to US$100 there
Holding the Visa or Diners version of a premium card❌ Not eligible. Only Mastercard counts

DealUni take: a real, little-known perk worth up to ₹25,200 a year on one card, if you eat out in a group four times a year at places like Trèsind, Le Cirque or Megu. It’s useless for small bills, and the ₹6,300 is less than Mastercard’s “US$100” headline. Check your card on the booking site tonight, and book your Q4 dinner before 31 Dec, or this quarter’s credit is gone.
