Club Marriott Gourmet: ₹10,620 Dining Plan, Worth It?

Marriott has launched Club Marriott Gourmet, a new dining membership that works at almost 100 Marriott hotels and 300+ restaurants in India. It costs ₹10,620 a year. The question isn’t whether 25% off is nice. It’s whether Gourmet beats the regular hotel-based Club Marriott, which costs barely more, or the version you may already get free with your card.

The maths
- On 25% off alone, you need to spend about ₹42,500 a year at Marriott restaurants to earn back ₹10,620. The Tuesday 50% food deal and the free buffet get you there faster.
- Regular Level 1 at the Westin Chennai costs only ₹1,179 more (or about ₹2,240 more than Gourmet with the launch code), and it includes a free room night plus two 50%-off stays. A free night at a five-star Marriott is worth far more than that gap. Check your hotel’s table, though: not every Level 1 includes a free night (see the JW Marriott list below).
- If you hold HDFC Infinia, you already get the dining discounts and the Monday and Tuesday deals, with better 30%-off stay certificates. Gourmet adds only a buffet lunch and a celebration table.

Best luxury pick: JW Marriott Bengaluru Level 1 at ₹16,520: the cheapest JW membership that includes a free night. At JW Juhu, Sahar and Pune, Level 1 has no free night, so it’s only a dining card; go to Level 2 there, or pick a hotel whose Level 1 includes the night.
