Akasa Elevate Reward Flights: about Rs 0.54 per point, points cover fare and fuel surcharge

Akasa Elevate Points Now Redeemable: Worth ₹0.54 Each

Updated as of 26 Oct 2026. Redemption rules from Akasa Air’s Elevate FAQ and programme pages, checked 26 Oct 2026. The points value comes from the first reported redemption on a Mumbai–Delhi ticket; earn rates are as reported at launch, since Akasa’s earn table isn’t published as text.

Akasa Air launched its Elevate loyalty programme in August, but until now the points couldn’t be spent. That has changed: you can now book Reward Flights with Elevate Points on Akasa’s website and app. So what is a point worth, and is it worth booking Akasa directly to earn them?

TL;DR

  • A point is worth about ₹0.54 in the first reported redemption. Akasa says the value changes by flight and booking date.
  • Points pay the fare and fuel surcharge, not taxes. In the Mumbai–Delhi example, that left ₹1,868 to pay in cash.
  • Earning works out to roughly 4–10% back, depending on your tier and whether you book directly. That’s good for a budget airline.
  • No blackout dates, and points last as long as you earn or spend once every 24 months.
  • No credit card transfers yet, so you can only earn by flying Akasa.

What you earn back

TierPoints per ₹100Booked directly (+4)Value back at ₹0.54
Bronze (everyone starts here)8124.3% / 6.4%
Silver10145.4% / 7.5%
Gold12166.4% / 8.6%
Platinum14187.5% / 9.7%
Earn rates as reported at launch. Points are earned on eligible spend, which Akasa defines as base fare and fuel surcharge, plus add-ons bought directly. Taxes don’t earn.

Add your card’s rewards on top. A card earning 3–5% on travel, paying for an Akasa fare booked directly at Bronze level, gets you roughly 10% back in total. For a domestic budget airline, that’s hard to beat.

The rules that matter

  • Only for you. Reward Flights can be booked only for the member’s own travel, not family.
  • No add-ons. Seats, meals and baggage can’t be paid with points.
  • No earning on Reward Flights, and promo codes don’t apply.
  • Changes: the change fee is paid in cash; the fare difference can be paid in points. Cancellation fees come out of your points.
  • Expiry: points last for life if you earn or redeem at least once every 24 months.

How it compares with IndiGo BluChip

We value IndiGo BluChips at ₹0.40–0.80 depending on the fare. Elevate’s ₹0.54 sits in the same range, so the two are now close. The differences: BluChips can come from co-brand cards and partners like Magnify, while Elevate points come only from flying Akasa. And Elevate Reward Flights are for the member only, so each family member needs their own balance. Read more in our IndiGo BluChip anniversary post.

What to do

You are…What to do
Flying Akasa a few times a year✅ Join Elevate free and add your number to every booking
Booking Akasa through a travel site⚠️ Compare with Akasa’s own site: direct bookings earn 4 extra points per ₹100
Holding a balance from flights since April✅ Check for a Reward Flight now, and claim missing flights through Retro Claim
Hoping to move bank points to Akasa❌ Not possible yet. No card transfers to Elevate

DealUni take: Akasa’s points finally have a use, and at about ₹0.54 each they’re worth collecting. It won’t replace your bank points, but if you fly Akasa anyway, book direct and keep the balance moving. Akasa ke points ab sach mein kaam ke. (Akasa’s points are finally worth something.)
